Sure Fire Ways to Meditate Like Buddha

Sure Fire Ways to Meditate Like Buddha

Whether you have only tried meditating once, or have been meditating for years - you know that some days its frustrating. Been there, felt that!

I used to think that meditation was about shutting off my brain for the 15 or 30 minutes I was to be meditating. Since I couldn’t do this for even a second. I quit. Then I would read another book, feel inspired and try again. And quit. I wasted a whole lot of time thinking I was a meditation “failure.”

My energetic team finally guided me to decide what meditation was for ME. Like everything else in the world, things work differently for each of us. Below are what I have found to be help me meditate like Buddha.

Get up and OMMMMMMM - meditation first thing in the morning is best for me for 2 reasons. 1. I am not on information overload. 2. It is a GREAT way to ensure a balanced day.

Take a pen and paper - on those days where my brain is on super speed, I just jot down the ideas, thoughts, to do lists, etc that come up while I am getting into my peaceful Buddha like space. By writing them down it gets them out of my head and allows my brain to relax.

Clear Your Clutter - OK, I know you have heard this a million times, but there is a reason for that. It is true. We don’t want it to be, but it is. The cleaner and clearer the space you live in - the cleaner and clearer your head is. You don’t have to take a month off work to clear it all - take baby steps. Do a room a day, or a week, or if necessary - a month. (although you may want to call in for professional help if a room will take a month - just sayin')

Guided meditations - yep, my all time favorite way to meditate. Gives my brain something to do, which helps me to focus, which helps me a successful meditator! My favorites are - mine of course, you can find these in my store. And also Kelly Howell’s. Also Doreen Virtues Chakra Clearing. If you have some favorites you would like to share with the readers please post them below.

Just do it - decide the time and days you are going to meditate and just do it. Even if you are a zillion miles away from your Buddha like space, be there. Most of our day is routine - and we need to make meditation part of our routine to ensure it happens. Like most things, if we don’t set it - we don’t do it!

Also an important thing for people to know - not everyone is going to succeed at sitting meditation. Some of you are what we could call “movement meditators” - so you need to be walking, yoga, tai chi, qi gong, etc to get into the space. This is OK!!

I strongly suggest daily meditation to raise your vibrations, find your inner Buddha and create the life your heart desires.

I would love if you posted below on your favorite ways to meditate!

7 Fun Ways to Raise Your Vibrations & Feel GREAT!

We all love to feel good - well, GREAT!
Here are 7 ways to get you feeling GREAT in less than 10 minutes!

1. Music - put on some groove makin’, booty shakin’ tunes and DANCE! For me it is important that the music I put on has fun, happy lyrics. My top 2 favorites right now are below - and you know this if you have taken workshops with me in the past few months.

2. Nature - go outside and walk, run, jump, sing, play, dance or sit quietly. Doesn’t matter what you do out there - just get out there. The fairies and nature angels clear your energy when you spend time with them. What a gift - right in our back yards!

3. Stretching - this can be yoga, tai chi, qi gong or your own stretching routine. When you stretch the lines of energy in your body open up and you feel GREAT!

4. Phone a Friend - just make sure this friend understands that you want to talk about fun, happy, positive, life affirming stuff to get your vibes a rockin’. Yes there are times in our lives when we need to talk with a friend about issues or problems, but this ain’t one of them!

5. Have a glass of water, or 2 - water is so important to our physical bodies and the way energy flows through them. The more you drink - the better you feel - and yes, the more you pee, but when you think of all the toxins that is being released, you will start to celebrate the bathroom trips! LOL

6. Watch this video - the Angels guided me to make it last summer and it really does work. While thinking about whatever is bothering you, watch it, and watch how quickly the emotional gunk is released. Angels are truly amazing!!!

7. Smile - yep, force yourself to smile. It automatically changes your vibration for the better. Of course you can put on a funny movie or listen to a comedian on iTunes to help you out. Although I have never tried it I have heard that Laughter Yoga is awesome!

Now go out and try one of these things. Be sure to post your favorite way to raise your vibes below. The more ideas the merrier!!

I would be honoured if you would Share this on your facebook and twitter pages! Thank you!

Vulnerable - friend or foe?

Lately I have been contemplating the word “vulnerable.” I have never thought of it as a positive word. In fact, I have judged it to be the exact opposite.

Then I read quotes like these -

“I have met brave women who are exploring the outer edge of human possibility, with no history to guide them, and with a courage to make themselves vulnerable that I find moving beyond words.” ~ Gloria Steinem

“We all need somebody to talk to. It would be good if we talked ... not just pitter-patter, but real talk. We shouldn't be so afraid, because most people really like this contact; that you show you are vulnerable makes them free to be vulnerable.” ~ Liv Ullmann

“We're never so vulnerable than when we trust someone - but paradoxically, if we cannot trust, neither can we find love or joy” ~ Walter Anderson

While doing ThetaHealing on myself Creator explained that vulnerable is a normal, healthy feeling. Like everything else in life there is an ebb and flow - times where I will feel vulnerable and times where I will feel strong and confident. When I allow myself to feel whatever it is I am feeling, without feeling ashamed or thinking I should feel differently - my life flows so much easier.

I have heard that emotions are energy in motion. The problem is, when we feel an uncomfortable feeling, our first response is to stuff it. Some of us use food, others alcohol or drugs, t.v. or shopping, etc. Imagine the freedom of allowing whatever feeling is there, to flow through, knowing and trusting it is just part of the human experience. Wow!!

Thanks to the gift of ThetaHealing, this is so much easier for me to do now.

I would love to hear from you guys - how do you feel about vulnerability? How do you process emotions?

Vulnerably yours,

Another ThetaHealing Miracle!

In August I taught my first ThetaHealing Basic class. In the months and weeks leading up to it I was sooooooooooooooo excited. I knew it would be life changing for everyone who took it.
The day before the workshop I woke up at 5:00am with a horribly sore throat. One of the worst I have ever had. I got up and took some herbs and went back to bed asking Creator for a complete healing by the time I woke up.
At 7:00am when I woke up again, there was no change. I started to panic. I had 14 people coming the next day for a 3 day workshop - I needed to be able to talk! I canceled all of my appointments for that day to rest in hopes that was enough to shift it.
Around 10:00am I did some theta on myself and found that there was an issue in my life that I wasn’t speaking my whole truth on. Ah ha! (of course when you don’t speak your truth it affects your throat area). So I took action and asked for what I needed in that situation. My throat healed about 50%. I left it for a few hours thinking maybe my physical body just needed to catch up with the healing I had done.
By 4:00pm it still hadn’t shifted anymore so I went back into Theta. I asked Creator to show me what was left because I was confused. He showed me something very interesting. He took me to a lifetime many, many, many hundreds of years ago where I taught a group of people the equivalent to ThetaHealing. I asked him what the problem was - he showed me that I had been killed for teaching it! And the students I taught then were the same ones who were coming for the workshop that very weekend. Oh my goodness! I was shocked. I didn’t want to see any specifics because I knew it would be very traumatic. I did know that some of the students were also killed.
I asked him to heal the trauma, disconnect the negative energy cords running from that life time to my current life and replace them all with unconditional love. And in that moment my throat cleared up 100%. It was amazing, beyond amazing. He told me that the students who had difficultly coming to the workshop were the ones who were also killed. Sure enough there were a few students who had a really tough time getting to the workshop, in fact one lady even had to rent a car to get to the class!
We had an amazing weekend of healing, love and laughter. One student called it a “homecoming” as we had already spent time together - in one lifetime, if not more!
ThetaHealing is a miracle that continues to amaze me each and every day! If you want more information about it you can go to this link - and I am also teaching it in a variety of places around AB, SK and MB in the months to come - go here for more information.
Have a beautiful day!

Healing Angel Meditation

The angels asked me to do a healing video that you can watch over and over, to help you with any problems or issues you may be dealing with. It is about 9 minutes in length. Once you watch it the first time to get the instructions, you can then fast forward to 2:57 minutes to right when the meditation itself starts.
I would love to hear how this video works for you!!

You will want to scroll down to the bottom of the page and pause the music so you don't have that playing in the background for this post.

Have a beautiful day!!

Excuse Me!

As a medium I have set up very firm boundaries with those in the Spirit world. They are not to contact me unless I am in “reading” mode. I did this so I could still lead a fairly normal (whatever that is) life. I didn’t want to be bombarded with messages for people in the grocery store or at the library.

Only a handful of times has this boundary ever been stepped over. The other day was one of those times. I had woke up very early and was doing some business emails. I could feel a woman in Spirit who wanted me to connect for her on my Messages from a Medium Facebook page. However I needed to finish up a few things before I did that. About 3 hours after I woke up I felt tired.

Since I was going to be having a late night I thought it best to take a nap. Off to bed I went and as soon as I closed my eyes I heard a very annoyed woman as she yelled “EXCUSE ME!” My eyes shot open and I realized it was the woman in Spirit who I could feel earlier. I explained to her that I needed to nap but that I would get to her message. She wasn’t impressed that she had to wait yet again, but relaxed when I told her it would be the first thing I did when I got up from my nap.

About an hour later the phone rang and woke me up. I know she did that on purpose, to get me up, as I had specifically asked the Angels to hold all calls so I wouldn’t be disturbed. I do this often and it always works, unless I need to be woke up for some other purpose.

I kept my promise and connected as soon as I got out of bed. She was very happy and hasn’t stopped in to yell at me since! LOL

Will it bring you JOY?

I was in Canadian Tire picking up a Father’s Day gift for my Dad a month ago and noticed a motorized inflatable chair on sale. I felt quite excited as I love spending time in the lake during the summer and had never seen such a cool water toy! As I contemplated buying it many thoughts came rushing in - “Inflatable toys always get holes in them.” “It is silly to spend so much money on a toy.” “It won’t last long enough to make it worth the money.” You get the idea. I felt sad but knew it was for the best not to buy it.

As I was walking away I heard Creator’s voice in my head, ask one simple question - “Will it bring you Joy?” I stopped walking and felt every cell in my body scream “Yes!” And Creator said “Then you know what to do.” And I did. I bought it.

My husband thought I was nuts getting so excited with my new purchase - which I call my “boat.” It has brought me so much Joy - along with many others. In the days leading up to me trying it out my Facebook friends got to hear all about it. Some have even went out and bought their own. Once I got it in the water I had my sister do a video of me in it - which brought alot of joy to those watching it as it is ridiculous. (see below) Plus the joy I have had just using it, has been worth a million dollars.

I recommend you ask yourself where in your life you are holding back from allowing Joy in. We are here to experience Joy. To be as happy as we can be. To do things that make us laugh. To have fun. To smile. Next time you are being logical - listen to your heart instead of your head...you will be Joyfully glad you did!!

Blessings,
Glenyce Hughes
